About the Role
We are looking for a visionary and execution-oriented Head – Product Engineering & Platform to lead the engineering organization responsible for building and scaling Comprinno's product portfolio, beginning with Tevico and evolving into a broader cloud and AI platform.
Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), this role is responsible for defining engineering strategy, leading product development, building scalable platform capabilities, driving engineering excellence, and fostering a high-performance engineering culture.
You will lead multidisciplinary engineering teams spanning Backend, Frontend, Platform Engineering, DevSecOps, QA Automation, UI/UX, and AI-enabled product development. You will also play a pivotal role in shaping the company's technology roadmap by adopting modern software engineering practices, AI-assisted development, platform engineering, and cloud-native architectures.
The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership capabilities, operational discipline, and a passion for building world-class SaaS platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Product Engineering Strategy
- Define and execute the engineering strategy aligned with the company's product vision and business objectives.
- Translate product roadmaps into predictable engineering execution plans.
- Build scalable engineering processes capable of supporting rapid product growth.
- Drive engineering excellence across architecture, development, testing, deployment, and operations.
- Collaborate closely with Product Management and the CTO to prioritize product investments.
Platform Engineering
- Design and evolve the core technology platform powering Tevico and future SaaS products.
- Build reusable services, APIs, SDKs, developer platforms, and shared engineering capabilities.
- Drive platform scalability, resiliency, observability, and operational excellence.
- Establish engineering standards for platform architecture, security, integrations, and APIs.
- Enable product teams to build faster through reusable engineering assets.
Software Architecture & Technology Leadership
- Own architecture governance across all products and platforms.
- Define engineering standards, coding guidelines, design patterns, and architectural principles.
- Ensure products are highly scalable, secure, reliable, and maintainable.
- Drive adoption of modern cloud-native architectures including microservices, event-driven systems, Kubernetes, and serverless computing.
- Lead architecture reviews and technical decision-making.
Engineering Delivery Excellence
- Lead engineering planning, sprint execution, release management, and delivery governance.
- Improve engineering predictability through robust planning and agile execution.
- Drive engineering productivity and operational efficiency.
- Ensure high-quality product releases with minimal production defects.
- Balance feature delivery with technical debt reduction.
AI-First Software Engineering
- Lead adoption of AI across the software development lifecycle.
- Standardize the use of AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q Developer, Cursor, Claude, and similar technologies.
- Improve developer productivity through AI-assisted coding, testing, documentation, debugging, and code reviews.
- Explore Agentic AI to automate engineering workflows and platform operations.
- Build AI-native capabilities into future product offerings.
DevSecOps & Platform Operations
- Establish modern DevSecOps practices across engineering.
- Own CI/CD platforms, release automation, infrastructure automation, and deployment pipelines.
- Ensure secure software development practices throughout the SDLC.
- Drive observability, monitoring, incident management, and operational resilience.
- Collaborate with CloudOps teams to ensure reliable production operations.
Product Quality & Engineering Standards
- Build a strong quality engineering culture.
- Drive automated testing, performance engineering, security testing, and release validation.
- Improve product quality through measurable engineering metrics.
- Ensure compliance with secure coding practices and industry standards.
- Reduce production incidents through proactive engineering governance.
Engineering Leadership & Talent Development
- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing engineering teams.
- Recruit top engineering talent across Backend, Frontend, Platform, QA, DevSecOps, and AI engineering.
- Define engineering career frameworks and competency models.
- Conduct technical mentoring, performance reviews, and succession planning.
- Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Innovation & Technology Evolution
- Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their business relevance.
- Drive innovation in Cloud, AI, Platform Engineering, Observability, Automation, and Developer Experience.
- Build reusable IP, accelerators, frameworks, and engineering assets.
- Collaborate with Data & AI teams to integrate intelligent capabilities into products.
- Represent Comprinno in technology communities, conferences, and partner ecosystems.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines.
- 12–16 years of software engineering experience, including at least 5 years leading engineering teams.
- Proven experience building and scaling enterprise SaaS or platform products.
- Strong experience designing distributed systems, multi-tenant SaaS platforms, and cloud-native applications.
- Deep expertise in Java, NodeJS, Spring Boot, Python, REST APIs, Microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Strong knowledge of frontend technologies such as Angular or React.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native development.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and Platform Engineering.
- Deep understanding of software architecture, engineering governance, and engineering best practices.
- Proven experience leading Agile engineering organizations.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
Desired Qualifications & Skills
- Experience building developer platforms and internal engineering tooling.
- Experience with AI-assisted software development and developer productivity platforms.
- Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, Prompt Engineering, Agentic AI, and AI application frameworks.
- Experience with Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, GraphQL, and event streaming platforms.
- Experience implementing engineering metrics including DORA metrics.
- AWS Professional Certification (Solutions Architect Professional or DevOps Engineer Professional).
- Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in engineering communities.
- MBA or Executive Leadership education is an advantage.
