Job Description – Jr. DevOps Engineer
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with 6 months to 2 years of experience who can design, deploy, and operate highly-available, scalable, and fault-tolerant systems using leading cloud platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong technical skills and be able to handle cloud migrations, application orchestration, building deployment pipelines and implementing various Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies while ensuring security and cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Express technical ideas and initiatives effectively through excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Deploy, and operate highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant systems using AWS and other cloud platforms.
- Handle cloud migration projects, including data, applications, and infrastructure transitions and building pipelines.
- Implement Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies, ensuring business continuity and minimal downtime.
- Strong understanding of AWS services and a good understanding of Azure and GCP.
- Implement Organizational DevOps strategies across various operating environments.
- Write Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, and CDK technologies.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy.
- Automate infrastructure using Configuration Management tools like GitOps.
- Set up and manage Docker container infrastructure for encapsulating applications.
- Work with container orchestration frameworks like Kubernetes and Swarm.
- Utilize MAVEN or GRADLE for build automation and JIRA for bug tracking and project management.
- Use AWS CLI and Shell/Bash scripting and Python to manage AWS services efficiently.
- Experience with Git or GitLabs for version control and source code management.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and MongoDB.
- Work with multiple operating systems, including RHEL, Ubuntu, Other Linux, Windows, and CentOS.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide proactive problem-solving.
- Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting, with the ability to solve 1400 or equivalent problems on platforms like CodeChef, HackerRank, or HackerEarth.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 6 months to 2 years of hands-on experience in DevOps roles.
- Experience in migrating workloads to cloud environments.
- Knowledge of Disaster Recovery strategies for cloud-based infrastructure.
- Ability to set up infrastructure with security best practices and compliance requirements regulated industry
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to collaborate with teams and work in a fast-paced environment.
